Today’s news, Donate shoes to Manitowoc County Men’s Shelter
A lot of houses have purchased a few pairs of shoes on the internet that aren’t quite suitable.
Because of remote working, some people now have dress shoes that get less use.
Others have purchased basketball shoes,
But only wore them a couple of times before discovering that playing basketball at 50 is considerably more difficult than it was when they were 15.
The Haven of Manitowoc County is conducting a shoe drive from May 22 through May 30 to collect new and gently used shoes for all of Manitowoc County who wish to participate.
The goal is for you to build a pair of shoes for each plus-size woman in the world and then send them to poor nations at the same time.
Shoe pairs may be dropped off at The Haven, which is located at 1003 Marshall St. in Manitowoc, connected or rubber-banded together.
The city’s main park is located at 2320 South Lake Street in Manitowoc.
The park offers a playground, ball fields, picnic areas, open spaces for events, and sports complexes with multiple uses including an ice rink, an indoor ice rink, and a new skate area.

The Haven’s goal is to fill 100 bags, each containing 25 pairs of shoes.
Funds2Orgs will be sent the shoes and they’ll pay for them depending on the total weight of the collected shoes.
The shoes will go to countries in need of them, and the funds will be used to support The Haven’s shelter.
The Haven combines case management, resource referrals,
And life skills sessions to house homeless men for up to 90 days while assisting them in regaining their independence and self-reliance.
